Consulting is the first step in the process when developing a UC solution. Many times this process gets overlooked but because UC crosses over so many technologies and integration is required, determining a strategy, business case, and technical requirements is essential to a successful UC implementation.
iVision provides both business and technical consulting to help customers develop their strategy and the business case required before implementation of a UC solution begins. Also, iVision's consulting services are comprehensive and provide the technical consulting which reviews and designs the network to ensure readiness when implementing a UC solution.
Business Consultancy
Our Business Consultancy covers three areas: Strategy Development, Business Case and Benchmarking and Usage Analysis.
Strategy Development starts with understanding your business and determining your UC objectives. In addition to aligning UC with your organisation’s initiatives, iVision’s Strategy Development profiles your workforce. The evaluation of your workforce is crucial to technology planning and aligning the right mix of UC technologies to your organisation.
Once Strategy Development is finished a customised Business Case can be determined. The Business Case will enable you to get the right funding and also make UC a priority within your organisation.
As part of your UC evaluation process, you may need to Benchmark and Analyze existing usage. Understanding that most organizations already have some elements of UC, this process enables you to evaluate if the existing infrastructure can support the UC objectives determined in the strategy.
Technical Consultancy
Our Technical Consultancy covers three areas: Technology Planning and Design, Network Assessment and Project Planning.
Technology Planning and Design starts with a defined UC strategy and this supports iVision’s belief in strategy first and technology second. Only through defined UC objectives and workforce profiling can a UC technology road map and design be developed.
The technology plan and design aligns UC technologies to organizational objectives and workforce profiles. This enables your organisation to see which UC technology will be required and will also clearly determine the technical and end user capability requirements for intergration and implementation.
Once the UC technology plan and design are developed, then iVision can conduct a Network Assessment and determine your network’s UC readiness. This step is essential, because the single point of failure for any UC application is the network.
